A Unique Internship Opportunity
9th Ave Studio (a creative digital media/video production company) and our sister company HISessions LLC (one of Hawaii’s largest video content creator of local music) is seeking 1-2 creative media interns who would participate in various filming and editing opportunities.
We are seeking individuals who want real world training and growth in video production and post production editing, color grading, storytelling and producing content for social media.
Applications should have a basic understanding of using Final Cut Pro, or willing to learn it. Basic camera experience, including DSLR video.
Our program would consist of a 3-month probationary period of unpaid internship work on real commercial projects with the potential for ongoing paid work.

FCP
Final Cut Pro, previously Final Cut Pro X, is professional non-linear video editing software published by Apple as part of their Pro Apps family of software programs. Its user interface is easy to understand and use. Because we’re all on macs, FCP is our answer to video editing.
DSLR video
The term DSLR stands for Digital Single-Lens Reflex camera. DSLRs are a great choice for the short form videos we create. They're capable of shooting at high frame rates and resolutions, they’re portable, you can change out the lenses…there are just so many reasons we shoot on DSLRs.
the nature of interning
This will be experiential learning that integrates the knowledge and theory you’ve been learning in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. You’re gonna get to use and hone your skills in real life situations.
